How Far is It From Evergreen to Denver

It doesn’t matter why you are driving from Denver, CO to Evergreen, CO. You might be planning a road trip up to Evergreen Lake for some outdoor activities like ice skating, live music or shopping for your perfect Rocky Mountain Evergreen Home. Maybe you prefer outdoor recreations and are enjoying Jefferson County Open Space hiking trails or playing a few holes at Evergreen Golf Course. The driving distance is about a 29 miles drive from Downtown Evergreen to Downtown Denver. Takes about 38 minutes in normal traffic. Depending on where you want to end up there is an alternative route down highway 285. 

Road Conditions From Denver, CO to Evergreen, CO

The sun shines more in Denver and Evergreen than just about anywhere in the United States. With that being said it also has some of the heaviest snowfalls. When you start heading west of Denver towards the mountains (and Evergreen) things can get a little dicey in the winter. I70 can be closed on a moment’s notice. Leaning you stranded in your bed and breakfast. Be sure to keep an eye on road conditions Colorado road conditions. 

It is a Beautiful Summer Drive Through Evergreen

In the summer you will want to take a drive through the canyon next to Bear Creek and take a detour and stop at Red Rocks. It is a spectacular view even coming up I70 into Evergreen and looking at the divide. If you take the longer scenic routes you will not be disappointed. It may take a little longer but since you are on your mountain vacation that won’t matter to you.

It’s important to remember when your are planning your drive to Evergreen that in the mountains no road trip is a straight line. Nothing like the roads in major cities. If you are looking at how the crow flies instead of drive times you might be late for lunch.
