It is a very easy commute to all the great places in Colorado from your Evergreen home. Obviously there are times of the year that commutes get a little rough. I 70 has been known to be closed in bad weather. If the weather is bad people just stay home. If people work in Denver and the weather is bad they understand you can’t come “down the hill”. Don’t really think anyone has ever been fired because they couldn’t make it to Denver from Evergreen because of a winter storm.
Anyone that wants to have easy access to Denver and the ski resorts should really look in to Evergreen, CO real estate. It is true that the market has been crazy here for a couple years but it has not shown signs of dropping or losing value. It seems to be continuing to have low inventory and not much development. There are a few projects in the works like the Floyd Hill Development and a few others but they shouldn’t really have much of an impact on home inventory or values.
There is no doubt that Evergreen, CO is one of the most desirable towns in Colorado. The weather is usually pretty mild even in the winter, Close to everything fun to so in Colorado and is absolutely beautiful and safe.
