RECREATIONAL

Our Recreational Program is for any player ages 3-14, regardless of experience. The program places an emphasis on skills and sportsmanship in a fun and safe environment. Participation and enjoyment of the game are paramount, and every player has the opportunity to train with an Altitude FC staff coach on a weekly basis. The recreational program is organized by grade level.

Our approach to training balances learning the technical side (individual) and the tactical side (team) of soccer. To improve, players need the strength, stamina and dexterity to manage the ball. At the same time, to work as a team they need to know where the other players are, what players are in each role on the team, how to respond to the team captain’s direction, and when to pass the ball to another team member or attempt a turnover from the other team.

We currently offer the following options in our Recreational Program:

  1. WeeKicks: For our U3 – U4 (ages 3-4 years old)
  2. Recreational Team Division Pre – Kindergarten – 4th Grade
  3. Recreational CSA Division: U11 to U14 (2007 – 2004 Birth Years) (teams play in CSA recreational leagues, with home games in Evergreen)

THE DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM

In the Developmental program, the basics learned in the Recreational program are refined into a foundation players will rely upon as they reach more advanced game play. We emphasize technical mastery of skills that will players a true head start and advantage as they progress. Altitude FC is among a small handful of Colorado soccer clubs that puts such an emphasis on the development of the U8-U10 player.

Altitude Advanced Program:

Thier Advanced Program (U11-U14) is the competitive portion of Altitude FC. We will challenge players to grow technically, tactically, and mentally. We foster a very competitive environment within training to allow players to compete and raise their level of play. Altitude wants players and teams moving up the ladder in a very progressive manner and understanding the challenges and demands needed to play soccer as they advance.

Players will compete for a spot on advanced teams, and the emphasis in training will be on developing players that want to move on to competitive play throughout their time in High School. The focus is team play, strategy, higher level individual skill development, and higher level soccer.

All players in the advanced program will work with paid coaches. These coaches have experience in competitive play and certifications in coaching and training players. Advanced players will have more weekly training than recreational teams, and they will play at home and away, competing against teams around the Front Range and in Evergreen.

Players will develop along personal goals, and we expect players to have a sense of their strengths and weaknesses, what positions they prefer and excel in, and areas they want to develop within their training. They should also be ready to advance in a team environment, learning how to better work with others to improve play.

Coaches will increase the level of competitiveness in this arena, encouraging players to develop their abilities to succeed in an environment where another player may covet their spot on the field.

Within the Advanced Program there is a very detailed curriculum that standardizes the development of the players at these ages and prepares the players for competitive High School Programs. Players come into the Advanced program at U11 ready to learn the 9v9 game and start competing at higher levels. Players in the program will finish at U14 ready for High School tryouts. We encourage the mindset and focus that will carry players to eventually play on college teams and beyond. We will work to condition players to compete and to understand what they need to give to the sport if they are going to continue to succeed.

The Advanced Program offers many layers of additional training as part of the program which include: 3 training sessions, Goalie training, Advanced Training Program, Functional Training, and leadership training.

ALTITUDE 2018  FALL CAMPS, CLINICS, AND EVENTS

In addition to our Altitude Soccer Recreational, Academy and Advanced Programs, Altitude Football Club offers many different camps and training academies throughout the year. All camps and academies are organized and lead by staff, to ensure that players are provided with developmentally appropriate training. Camps are skill focused and help players advance in specific areas of the game. In a camp we will warm up, work drills, and then scrimmage to put practice to the test.

The Altitude After School Program is fun way to spend an hour right after school. Players will arrive and immediately get started with a fun group game.  Players will learn basic technical skills with a soccer ball and play fun games while learning soccer. The After School Programs are focused around fun, socialization and interpersonal skills as much as soccer. Participants often tell us they want to come back for additional weeks. Altitude Soccer was bought out by Colorado Rush and is now Mountain Rush

Mountain Rush Joins the Rush Soccer Family

Littleton, CO, November 30, 2018—This is a tremendous day for Colorado Soccer and an incredible opportunity for the Greater Mountain Youth Soccer Community.  It is with great enthusiasm we announce the merger of Altitude FC with Colorado Rush. The merger is designed to create a combined organization under Colorado Rush that will further advance the goals and overall experiences of all players, coaches, and families from both organizations.

The needs and strengths of both clubs are complementary, providing benefits that support both clubs’ efforts to deliver a better, more focused soccer experience beyond what either club could accomplish separately.

Formerly known as Altitude FC, the Evergreen, CO based soccer club is now coming under the Rush Soccer name and brand as ‘Mountain Rush’, which will better allow the club in the Greater Mountain Community just west of Denver the ability to attract the nation’s top coaching talent, invest more heavily in local recreational programming, and nurture soccer talent and passion at all skill and age levels. Colorado Rush is committed to building a tighter knit soccer community, and will plan out long-term strategic goals alongside like-minded Rush Soccer branches in the Greater Denver Area.

Altitude FC President, David Stewart remarks, “Unifying as one club, Colorado Rush and Mountain Rush will create many new opportunities to better serve the entire membership. Joining forces gives the organization a rare and unique soccer platform in Colorado and across the nation.”

Garry Guyan, General Manager at Colorado Rush adds, “We are excited to welcome Evergreen/ Conifer and the surrounding communities to join Colorado Rush.  Mountain Rush players will be afforded the same programs and opportunities currently offered to all Colorado Rush members.

Mark Burfeind, former Executive Director at Altitude FC, and Jennifer Jackson, former Technical Director at Altitude FC, will be great additions to Colorado Rush. Their qualifications and knowledge within the community, coupled with Colorado Rush’s expertise will enhance the development of players in the area.

Colorado Rush promotes the development of character through our eleven Rush Core Values and we look forward to sharing our philosophy with our newest members.”

The merger of the clubs is effective today, and both clubs will be working to provide the best possible experience for all families and players involved. It is the mission of Rush Soccer to provide opportunities for all players who have interest in the game, and Colorado Rush is excited to offer this experience to its newest members in the Evergreen area.

Rush Soccer and Mountain Rush will hold an informational question and answer on Friday, December 7th, at 6pm at the Evergreen Fire Protection District, 1802 Bergen Pkwy, Evergreen, CO 80439.
