Zillow listings – Zestimates and homes for sale Evergreen, CO.

Zillow real estate agents and FSBO. It is hard to take Zestimates seriously when they have been so inaccurate lately. Since Zillow has gotten into the home buying business one can’t help but think there might be a slight conflict of interest. A real estate agent is acting unethical if they come into your home, tell you what they believe your home is worth and then offer you that price. Why would one let Zillow set the market value through Zestimates then offer you that price?

Zillow’s co-founder and former chief executive officer is selling his California home.

Spencer Rascoff listed the Los Angeles property for $24 million, about $7 million more than the home’s $16 million “Zestimate,” or Zillow’s appraisal of what the place is worth.

The median home value in the area, for comparison, hovers around $724,000.

The 12,700-square-foot property, which was remolded by architects Ken Ungar and Steve Giannetti, sits on a half-acre of land in a gated community. It features six bedrooms and nine bathrooms and touts a theater with stadium seating, fitness studio and pool.

As a real estate agent in an area where no homes are similar, no lot is identical, I can not recommend using Zillow Zestimates

Why is My Zillow Zestimate so Different Than What My Listing Agent Says my Value is?

Just to be blunt, Zillow Zestimates are regularly inaccurate. Ask any real estate agent and they will tell that Zillow and their Zestimates are almost always wrong. An algorithm can not determine the value of a home. The only way to find the value of your home is to have your listing agent come into your home. See what kind of fixtures your have, how your floorplan is laid out. There are so many variables gone into finding the price of your home that it is simply impossible to tell the value without seeing it. Especially unique homes and yards. Find the best listing agent in your town and ask them to find the value of your home and please don’t say “Zillow say my home is worth…”. Listen to your Realtor. That is what they do all day long.
