Making sure your set up your utilities and services a week or two prior to your move. Be sure to confirm with your Realtor what utilities or services apply to the specific home you are purchasing. In the Denver Foothills a lot of services are split even in certain neighborhoods. Some neighborhoods have cable and internet in some parts and not others. Same with propane and natural gas. Phone can be the same way so it is important to have your real estate agent speak to the listing agent and sellers to see what services they are using. You can also just call the utility companies and ask them directly. They can tell you immediately if they service a particular lot or home.
