Evergreen Lake is the perfect place to rent a boat, canoe, or paddleboard starting at just $8 and enjoy the day on the water. Boating season starts on May 5th and ends on September 3rd each year, and is open daily from 8 am to 7 pm. Note, after school starts, boats are only available for rent on weekends.
Bring a fishing pole, picnic, and spend an afternoon fishing at Evergreen Lake. The most common species of fish are brown trout, rainbow trout, and tiger muskie. Both live bait and fishing lures are permitted, but you must have a fishing license to fish at the lake or any public place in Colorado.

From December to early March, weather permitting, Evergreen hosts the world’s largest outdoor Zamboni-groomed ice skating rink. It’s one of the world’s most beautiful ice skating rinks and offers 10 drop-in ice hockey rinks with hockey nets for your enjoyment. Skates are available for rent at the Evergreen Lake House, and admission starts at $7 per person.
- Shopping & Dining in Downtown Evergreen
Downtown Evergreen is the perfect place to experience the mountain charm of the town. There are plenty of retail stores, art galleries, restaurants, entertainment, and coffee shops to visit, many of which are located in historical buildings full of charm. Downtown Evergreen is also the center of events like the Annual Rodeo Parade.
