The Evergreen High School staff is a team of dedicated and professional educators who truly care about the success of each and every student. With an average of ten years of teaching experience and over 75% with graduate degrees, a teaching staff of nearly 60 brings a wealth of expertise and real world experience to the classroom. This, coupled with a student ratio of approximately 1:30, contributes greatly to the outstanding results that EHS generates daily. Three assistant principals, four school counselors and one
school psychologist provide students with support services. Evergreen High School is fully accredited by the Colorado Department of Education.
School Overview
EHS is a phenomenal community high school nestled in the mountains of Evergreen, Colorado. Our graduates are enrolled in all of Colorado’s state universities and colleges, as well as the most prestigious universities throughout the country. While academics come first at EHS, we are committed to creating a fluid educational environment that allows students to balance their lives with respect to athletics, activities, and community service.
Evergreen High School Facts — 2019 – 2020
· EHS is one of 18 high schools in the Jefferson County Public School District R-1, the second largest K-12 school system in Colorado serving nearly 85,000 students.
· EHS is a comprehensive public high school located in the foothills west of Denver, serving grades 9 through 12.
· Total Enrollment: 1119 students
· Class of 2020 enrollment: 261 students
· Over 77% of students participate in athletics and/or activities and 77% volunteer and/or perform community service.
· EHS offers over 35 clubs which include interest clubs, co-curricular clubs and honor society.
· Modified block schedule – 3 days of 50 minute class periods (7 classes) and 2 days of 90 minute class periods (3-4 classes).
· Wednesday Advisement allows for all students to meet with teachers on an individual basis.
